The parents have one idea. The child wants to try something else. What does the instructor weigh so both can keep working on their own part?
At Kym Việt’s K001 programme, each session runs 150 minutes across 7 activities. Within that window the instructor makes one call after another: how far a change can go, where the line stays. Those calls are not a matter of mood.
Two ideas inside one activity
A K001 session chains 7 activities together. When a parent and a child sit at the same table, they often picture different results from the very first step. The instructor stands between those two directions.
Both directions can sit inside the technical frame of the session. The instructor does not pick for anyone. Their job is to show which direction still fits inside 150 minutes and which one needs adjusting to fit.

What does the instructor weigh on the technical side?
The 150-minute length is the first marker. How long a step takes, how many times it can be repeated inside that window, is worked out before the instructor nods or shakes their head.
The second marker is material. The programme includes workshop materials, so the number of fabric pieces, thread spools and loose parts is finite. The instructor knows exactly what is left at each table.
The third marker is how hard the pattern is. The same take-home item can be made quickly or made carefully. The instructor explains that difference through concrete steps, so parent and child can see which direction suits the time left.
What can parents and children decide for themselves?

Inside the technical frame, the choice belongs to the participants. That is why K001 takes from 1 to 100+ guests and still keeps a working rhythm at every table.
When a group goes over 50 people, the programme splits into parallel shifts. Each shift has its own instructor, so the conversation about choices stays face to face instead of piling up.
Bilingual Vietnamese – English instructors are part of the programme. For a family with both adults and young children, explaining one technical choice in two ways helps the whole table follow.
At the end of the session, each person takes home what they made: a stuffed toy or a hand-painted pillow. The result comes from choices agreed on within those 150 minutes, not from someone doing the work for them.
