Kym Viet’s K001 programme runs 150 minutes, covers 7 activities and operates Monday to Saturday. A morning may belong to a school group; the afternoon to a company. In between sits a stretch of work guests rarely see.
The gap between sessions is not idle time. It is when the workshop table is returned to its starting state so the next group can begin their full 150 minutes on time.
When a session ends, what does the facilitator actually do?

Materials come first. Every K001 guest makes something to take home: a stuffed toy or a hand-painted pillow. Fabric, stuffing, thread, buttons and painting tools are counted against the size of the next group, because one missing kit means a whole table waits.
The facilitator gathers offcuts and loose thread, sorting them for reuse. This is where experience shows: a long-time maker reads the table and knows which step the last group stopped at, where younger guests tend to slip, which stitch needs explaining again. Sharp tools such as scissors and needles are counted and stored before the table is wiped.
The programme includes a sign language segment and a cafe where drinks are ordered in sign language. Deaf facilitators on the team use that same language to coordinate quickly between sessions, no interpreter needed.

Getting ready for the next group
Tables are laid out again for the incoming session. Groups over 50 are split into parallel sessions, so the facilitator has to know which group starts first, which follows, and where materials sit so the two do not collide.

Drinks and snacks are part of the programme package, so that stage is prepared during the changeover too. Larger groups need more of this preparation time, which is why groups over 30 are advised to book 5–7 working days ahead rather than the 3-day minimum.
The facilitator also holds the pace of the day: which activity needs slowing down, which can be trimmed if a group arrives late. The skill lies in keeping all 7 activities without turning the visit into a race.
